I'm really enjoying the Blondes albums at the moment - sort of early Underworld if they were on Kompakt (ish)

Not for want of trying, but absolutely chaff-all this week. Everyone must have had too much fun at Easter.

It is indeed. I've got my eye on the Little Boots release on Trax.

I'd like to get hold of the Simple Minds I Travel remix 12", and maybe the Tortoise double 7" -but not much on the list I'm fussed by really. There's a few collectory things I'd not mind, but I'm trying to be sensible.

Shimmery but with enough of a motorik feel to lift out of bland in to brilliant. Tin out bliss out.

I will be getting full of red wine and playing this loud this weekend. It's a 2am swayer for the kitchen. Stick with it because it's worth it. No one does big and overblown like Spiritualized.

Picked up the RSD release LP & CD of this yesterday - it is indeed ace. The good Dr's vocals could be a bit higher in the mix, but the drums sound fabulous.
Also picked up the Simple Minds remix 12", and one of the Franz Ferdinand cover 12", to get the LCDSS and ESG reworks.
And all the way from America, direct from Malcolm Cecil, came a Tonto's Expanding Headband CD containing both albums - nice.

The Max Cooper remix of Olafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm is gorgeous, and available for a short while as a free download. Any fans of lush electronica should really get right on this.

I seem to have been buying a lot of rekkids recently (ooh, what a surprise):

Roberta Flack - First Take (got a nice first press of it for a couple of quid)
The Chic Original Album Series 5CD set for nine quid
Steve Hauschildt - Tragedy & Geometry (kinda Gottsching/Tangerine Dream/Emeralds sorta thing)
The Time & Space Machine - Taste the Lazer (more consistent than the debut on first listen)
Johann Johannsson - Miners' Hymns (his soundtrack to the Bill Morrison film - gorgeous brass band, church organ, and electronics)
A Winged Victory For the Sullen (beautiful minimal yet lush piano and strings pieces)
Blondes - Blondes (I'm hearing bits of early Underworld, but if they were on Kompakt)
Blondes - Touched (earlier EP by them)
Psychedelis Jazz and Soul (nice compilation with stuff by Sun Ra, Gary Burton, and Yusef Lateef, amongst others)

...and some other bits on their way to me.
